This is it for the Summer of 2011

SunnySide Band

Yes, that’s right, because of certain cut-backs, The SunnySide Band gave its only performance of 2011 at Humpback Rocks today.  It rained on the caravan most of the way to the mountains, and they thought the performance was doomed, but once SunnySide assembled, the sky looked much brighter.  The Band performed to a large, appreciative audience from 2pm to 4pm and not a drop of rain.  That’s why they are called The SunnySide Band!!  The Original Carter Family music was well represented as well as many other old time tunes.  What a beautiful place to play and enjoy an afternoon.

The SunnySide Band would encourage you to visit their Music page and listen to some of their favorite selections and then to visit their Feedback page and leave them a comment.  SunnySide would also encourage you to visit their Gigs page to see where they will be performing next and come cheer them on.  The Band would like to meet you and to share their music with you, so they would invite you to consider having them play for your next event — just visit their Book Us page and leave all of your information.

I really enjoyed yesterday’s concert under the huge walnut tree. The music and crowd were great; as was the lack of rain. I’m hoping to see ya’ll in Grottoes this Thursday and Skylnd on Saturday night. Thanks for bringing the CDs.
